Ever wonder how Subaru stacks up when compared in a head-to-head competition with other popular models? At Giles Subaru, we were curious, too. So, we pit our 2018 Subaru Forester up against two models, to see exactly how the Subaru measures up.
What we learned is that the 2018 Forester, the Honda CR-V, and the Toyota RAV4 are all a similar size and shape. They also all appeal to a similar style of driver - one that wants the utility, ground clearance, and versatility of an SUV, but in a model that's easy to maneuver and park.
Yet, despite all of their similarities, our comparisons of the three models also proved one thing - that the Subaru Forester is the better choice for many drivers in the Lafayette area.
Here are some of the biggest takeaways we learned while researching these three models:
- Like all Subaru models, the 2018 Forester comes standard with all-wheel drive, across the lineup. Neither the RAV4 nor the CR-V have standard AWD, but, instead, have it available for add-on.
- The 2018 Forester comes in your choice of two great engines, while the Toyota RAV4 only has one engine. This means drivers have no choice in how they want their crossover powered with the Toyota model.
- The 2018 Subaru Forester is also the roomiest crossover option. It gives you more passenger space, and more cargo space, than the Honda CR-V.
