The Ascent offers spacious seating for seven or eight with up to 153.5 cubic feet of passenger volume, and the underfloor storage area makes it easy to keep the cabin organized. Performance

The standard engine of the Ascent is the SUBARU BOXER® engine with turbocharging and direct-injection. This engine is mated to the Lineartronic® CVT. This powertrain optimizes efficiency and power, offering Lake Charles adventurers a highway driving range of over 500 miles and a maximum towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds. Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive is standard on every Ascent trim to provide all the traction you need on your next adventure. X-MODE® is also standard with the Ascent, which optimizes Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and this SUV has an impressive ground clearance of 8.7 inches for elevated off-road capability outside Opelousas.
