The Subaru Outback has long been a popular model with those around Lafayette and Baton Rouge who are looking for a quality SUV that is versatile, reliable and offers standard all-wheel drive. The 2026 Outback will offer more of the same, but with some bold new updates that we look forward to seeing here at Giles Subaru.
The new 2026 Outback is coming with some new exterior styling, which gives it a more squared profile along with a raised, flatter roofline, and with more interior space for passengers and cargo available. There is also a big overhaul on the inside, with a contemporary cabin that offers premium materials, a new dual digital instrument cluster and display, which will provide you with smartphone connectivity and much more when you get behind the wheel.
You can still expect things from the 2026 Outback as you have in the past, with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, 8.7 inches of ground clearance, Subaru EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, plus a pair of engine options, with the standard choice offering 180 horsepower from its four-cylinder engine, while a turbocharged four cylinder provides 260 horsepower on the Outback XT and Outback Wilderness.
